God Is in Our Midst

How has anxiety caused by a microbe that was manifested from bats, infecting its’ first human, just a few months ago caused our whole education, transportation and economic system to basically shut down all over the world?

How does a baby born in a manger over 2000 years ago still affect us today? God is seen moving in many ways from Sydney to Seattle, through music, teaching and gatherings! God is in our midst!

The coronavirus-19 infection found a way into our world and no one is immune. Sin found its way into our world and no one is immune. Paul (Romans 7:14-25) says that the harder he/we fight sin the harder it is to do what is right. We cannot fight sin on our own. We cannot fight infection on our own; we need antibodies. We cannot become whole on our own.

The only anecdote and the only cure for sin is Jesus Christ! God sent his son for us as a cure for sin so that we would not die, but have eternal life. (John 3:16, Galatians 4: 1-7) If we, by faith, accept his son he will forgive our sin and we will not die eternally. We were originally made in His image to live eternally and then sin was presented. Sin originally began with the rebellion of an angel. (Ezekiel 28:17) Sin was then manifested in Eve and passed to Adam… Sin itself is invisible with tangible outcome. (Romans 5:12)

Does this give us reason to pause and reflect about how good and evil can spread exponentially?

Sin… how fast can it spread? We have seen this on an international level with drugs, abuse and deceptions of many kinds!

It only takes a spark to get a fire going… when a spark is ignited and affects a few people, if it is authentic (if we are filled with the Holy Spirit) we have no idea how our words and action will be used to affect others in the future or how far reaching our love can travel …. And how God will use us! (Ephesians 3:16-20)

Zephaniah 3:17 NLT

For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.
